LIKKLE RUM WITH GRANDMA

A journey over a generational bridge fusing poetry, storytelling and verbatim audio of a Jamaican grandmother’s voice to bring to the fore the loneliness of migration, community, and what distance does to family love. Along with a digital archive and touring workshops, this production aimed to hold funerals for loved ones before they die.

TYPICAL

Typical uncovers the man and the humanity behind a real-life story: a Black ex-serviceman who spent his life fighting for his country and ends up fighting for his life in police custody.

BOYS

An outdoor site-specific adaptation of William Golding’s Lord of the Flies with a Black & Asian cast of emerging actors. A twisted, lyrical adaptation that exams what happens when a group of young men are stranded on an island and try to govern themselves.

POOR – BOOK LAUNCH

In Poor, Caleb Femi combines poetry and original photography to explore the trials, tribulations, dreams and joys of young Black boys in twenty-first century Peckham. Winner of the Forward Prize for Best First Collection. Chosen as a Book of the Year by New Statesman, Financial Times, Guardian, Observer, Rough Trade and the BBC. Shortlisted for the Rathbones Folio Prize, longlisted for the Jhalak Prize.
